Hi,


This software implementation submission is in direct relation to the 
SKOS Implementation submission. This is related to a set of web services 
that expose and leverage the UMBEL vocabulary.

Name of person and/or organisation responsible for the implementation:

The organization currently supporting this effort is Structured Dynamics 
LLC. & OpenLink Software. This became a joint effort after the 
dissolution of Zitgist LLC.

- can the software read SKOS data?

Yes. UMBEL versions (SKOS) is ingested, and used in these different web 
services endpoints.

- can the software write SKOS data?

Yes. All resultsets returned by any of these endpoints is SKOS.

- Can the software check consistency of SKOS data with respect to the 
SKOS data model?

Yes. This is the exact purpose of the two "Inference Engines" web 
services endpoints. These can be leveraged to find consistency issues in 
the relationships between concepts.
