Yes, the point is that the SWD is *way* more specific than the DDC, so there would be many cases, where the DDC class for a given subject heading wouldn't be a good match (like if you would search for 'linux' (which has no DDC class of ist own) and was mapped to 005.432 (Specific operating systems) and you would get literature on Windows, Unix, MacOS, etc. Imagine what that would look like on Slashdot!). > > Thanks for the clarification, Happy to help!
