Hello, I'm David Booth. (No known relation to Benjamin Booth, though I guess we'll have to check!) I'll be representing HP Software in this WG. For the past 3 years (prior to returning inside HP Software a few weeks ago) I was a W3C Fellow from HP, working as alternate W3C Team contact in the Web Services Architecture WG (editing the Web Services Architecture[1]) and the Web Services Description WG (editing the WSDL 2.0 Primer[2]). I also took an interest in Semantic Web technologies, and have spoken several times about overlapping needs between the Web services and the Semantic Web[3]. Before joining HP, I was Director of Training for Bluestone Software, focusing on Web application servers, XML, Java and C++. Earlier I was a research scientist for AT&T Bell labs. My background is in computer science and my Ph.D. dissertation was in programming language design. I am interested in identifying and overcoming barriers to adoption of SW technologies, and particularly in best practices for ontology design and the use of multiple ontologies. I look forward to meeting you all!
