Hello folks, Given the lack of further discussion or objections since Sairus submitted the final revised SVG Glyphs in OpenType proposal, I have converted it into HTML5 and published it as a final report. http://www.w3.org/2013/10/SVG_in_OpenType/ You can read about that here http://www.w3.org/community/svgopentype/2013/10/09/call-for-final-specification-commitments-for-svg-glyphs-in-opentype-specification/ but the bottom line is that, since this is a final report, it requires a sign off step from each of you. This is to give a royalty free patent cover on the specification. Note: On joining the community group you already agreed to the Community License http://www.w3.org/community/about/agreements/cla-deed/ which does much the same thing. But for the final report, you need to explicitly agree (or not agree) to the Final Specification Agreement summary: http://www.w3.org/community/about/agreements/fsa-deed/ full text http://www.w3.org/community/about/agreements/final/ What you are agreeing to is firstly copyright, that the spec can use any contributions that you made during discussions; and secondly a royalty free patent license for any *essential* patents that you may be holding. The form you need for doing that is here: http://www.w3.org/community/svgopentype/spec/63/makecommitment and its a basic yes or no question. -- Best regards, Chris mailto:chris@w3.org
