Note that in SVG 1.1 First Edition clipPath was defined to be a container element. I think that it was removed from that list because that implied certain other requirements on clipPath that didn’t make sense (though I don’t remember what these were now). -- Cameron McCormack ≝ http://mcc.id.au/
