*Hi and happy 2024, everyone. * We hope this email finds you well. If you're a new member of the W3C Sustainable Web Design community group, welcome. We appreciate you helping us green the web! We're gearing up for a productive strategic planning session on Wed, January 31st, one week from today. We hope you'll join us. Details on time, agenda, how to join, etc. are on our community group calendar <https://www.w3.org/groups/cg/sustyweb/calendar/>. Here are some quick group updates: *Working Group Charter* We have a draft Working Group charter that we'd like to submit to broader W3C membership. We'll vote on whether that's ready during next week's meeting. You can review that charter here <https://w3c.github.io/sustyweb/wg/charter.html>. We envision the community group and working group collaborating very closely together starting in 2024. Starting a working group will also help us move the Web Sustainability Guidelines (WSGs) toward W3C's standards track. *Calendar* We're now on the official W3C calendar system. You can find our calendar of events here <https://www.w3.org/groups/cg/sustyweb/calendar/>. This page will allow you to see what the group has planned as well as subscribe to calendar updates. It also includes links to meeting agendas, Zoom, etc. This is a requirement for becoming a working group. If you have a calendar invite from Tim, that will be removed after next week's meeting. *Please subscribe to the calendar to stay up to date and receive future invites.* *Community Group Reports* We should have the 4th draft of the Web Sustainability Guidelines <https://w3c.github.io/sustyweb/> live by next week's meeting with draft #5 following on its heels. If you'd like to contribute, we welcome collaborators <https://github.com/w3c/sustyweb>. As a reminder, those guidelines are also live on the Sustainable Web Design site <https://w3c.github.io/sustyweb/>. Thanks again. Hope to see you next week or at an upcoming meeting. Cheers!
