Hi sustainability folks, As part of the Technical Plenary meeting, there are short breakout sessions often used to discuss new areas of potential work or topics that aren't covered through existing working group meetings. For those available, we'd love to gather discussion of sustainability for W3C and Web standardization. Meeting details here: https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/d0d7a1bf-a7b4-4930-bf9e-c66069d9c1f9 3pm Vancouver (Pacific) time Port Hardy — North Tower 4th floor If you're in Vancouver, it would be great to see you (masked and tested). If you're remote, you can join via Zoom and IRC, no registration or payment is required. I've listed some potential goals for our session, but it can be a pretty open discussion at this stage: * identifying areas of potential work and making connections for active ongoing work * considering metrics for energy/carbon emissions of Web usage * measuring emissions from W3C meetings (and how to reduce them) * working mode for sustainable website development (sustyweb) and horizontal reviews of web features for sustainability (sustainabilitycg) Looking forward to meeting, Nick -- Nick Doty | https://npdoty.name Senior Fellow, Internet Architecture Center for Democracy & Technology | https://cdt.org
