Hi, Dave Raggett (W3C Team) will be present at the Media Web Symposium<http://www.fokus.fraunhofer.de/en/fokus_events/fame/mediawebsymposium2013/Program/detailed/index.html> [1] hosted by Fraunhofer FOKUS (in Berlin on 14-15 March 2013) He has posted a news item about it on the W3C Blog "Smart cities and the Web of Things at the Media Web Symposium" [2] which I think (with the slides) is a good conversation starter about the role of Web technologies in Smart Cities and the Internet of Things. I've commented about the challenge to foster the collaboration between the different (W3C) communities who have worked on different aspects of the problem including ours. The key question for me is "How can we extend of the open web platform with sensors/things APIs AND plug in the value-adding semantics needed by content-rich applications (e.g. Web and TV or Mobile apps)?" Dave answered that, yes, he knows about the CG thanks to Payam Barnaghi ... and yes, he is keen to hear about our ideas. So, I think we should start this discussion here :). I'm also looking forward to learn more about the discussions which will take place during this two-day event: is there is someone from the community group who will attend it?
