[CfP] Solid Symposium 2026 - Solid4FutureProtocols Session

Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions to Solid4FutureProtocols: Using Solid
to Enable Future Application Protocols, a specialized session co-located
with the Solid Symposium 2026, to be held in London, UK, on April 30 – May
1, 2026.

The goal of this session is to bring together researchers and practitioners
working on protocol design, extensions, and applications enabled by the
Solid ecosystem. As Solid adoption grows across domains such as AI, IoT,
data spaces, and decentralized web services, new challenges and
opportunities arise in the design of scalable, secure, and interoperable
application protocols.

We particularly welcome contributions addressing (but not limited to):
- Protocol extensions and adaptations for Solid-based systems
- Interoperability and integration with existing or emerging web protocols
- Solid-enabled protocols for AI-driven, data-intensive, or distributed
applications
- Communication patterns for IoT, edge, and cyber-physical systems using
Solid
- Empirical evaluations, experimental platforms, and real-world deployments
- Position papers and visionary perspectives on the future applications
using Solid

Submission Types
- Short papers (5 pages excl. references)
- Extended abstracts (2 pages excl. references)

All submissions must be written in English, must be original, and must not
be under review elsewhere. Accepted contributions will be presented during
the session and included in the workshop proceedings according to the Solid
Symposium publication guidelines.

*Important Dates*
Submission deadline: *9 February 2026*
Notification of acceptance: *10 March 2026*
Solid Symposium:* 30 April and 1 May 2026*

Submission instructions and additional details are available at:
