I've known Gregg through W3C work, mainly around Group and RDF matters. 
I often relied on his guidance and sanity checks on specifications and 
implementations (in public and private). I'm grateful for his 
contributions and his championing of work that the community relies on, 
and that would not be where it is today without him. His tools and 
services, like the RDF distiller, were indispensable for our work (such 
as dokieli and stats stuff). He was always eager to co-investigate and 
constructive. I'll remember Gregg as someone who gave energy to the room 
and to people's ideas. As a person and colleague, he will be dearly 
missed. Let's honour him by continuing the work he championed.
