See the invitation below for one route to first updating vCard, and then nudging W3C to updating vcard-rdf - via a WG or another path to updating ns/ - down the line. -Sarven https://csarven.ca/#i -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: vcard:AddressBook Date: Thu, 20 Mar 2025 15:35:36 +0700 From: Orie <orie@or13.io> CC: ADs ART <art-ads@ietf.org>, calext-chairs@ietf.org Hi, In the calext wg session today: https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/calext/about/ <https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/calext/about/> Pete Resnick mentioned there was some discussion originating from W3C on interest in vCard. I gather there may be interest in updating vCARD to add some new terms. I want to invite you to share that discussion with the IETF list: https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/browse/calsify/ <https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/browse/calsify/> In particular if you have motivating use cases for new extensions or some description of desired fields not currently present in vCard. I'm happy to help further explain options if I can gather a better understanding of your use cases. Also happy to answer any questions you may have about the IETF process. Regards, OS, ART AD
