Hi all, probably of interest to some: Original work on "Solid Wallet" has been part of the Solid CG and the Solid community from early on and been lead by our late colleague and friend Henry Story ( https://bblfish.net/ ). Henry shared all of his findings and developments, including research, ideas, code, specification development, and presentations with the Solid CG/community as well as in other groups in W3C/IETF, e.g.: https://github.com/search?q=%22solid+wallet%22+OR+%22solid+control%22+OR+%22solidwallet%22+OR+%22solidcontrol%22+org%3Asolid+owner%3Aco-operating-systems+owner%3Abblfish&type=pullrequests You may also be aware or take note of references to Launcher App: https://github.com/solid/authorization-panel/commit/d8e556d5b467f5bc6d1a22be7526ab067a629418 As a named project, the work initially started with "Solid Control" and was funded by the NLnet Foundation - a non-profit organization supporting individuals and communities that contribute to an open information society: https://nlnet.nl/project/SolidControl/ (2020) The project continued with what is known as "Solid Wallet": https://nlnet.nl/project/SolidWallet/ (2022) This work was developed open source from day one: https://github.com/co-operating-systems/solid-control Henry shared an abundance of implementation experience and knowledge transfer to the Solid CG and community regarding everything involving Solid wallets. Here are the minutes of just one of the last meetings where he was with us: https://github.com/solid/specification/blob/main/meetings/2023-06-07.md#httpsig-auth-demo And a re-recording of the presentation is available: https://x.com/bblfish/status/1666547828506742788 Lastly, all of that translated into specification work that he pioneered on connecting the IETF work on HTTP Message Signatures, Solid Protocol, Web Access Control, among other things: https://solid.github.io/httpsig/ I'd like to invite everyone to follow Henry's example by sharing their learnings, helping improve our work and advancing the Solid project. -Sarven https://csarven.ca/#i
