Investigating suitability of DIDs in Solid

Hello DID WG,

Sorry for cross-posting.

The Solid CG had DIDs on the radar for a long time ([1], [2]). In our
meeting call last week [3], we resurrected the topic. Now that DIDs are
better understood, we think we're in a position to decide how Solid should
work with DIDs. I personally expect a lot of very strong opinions, yet,
whatever the outcome, I think this is an important conversation to have.

We would like to invite interested experts from the DID WG to join us in
this brainstorming, both via comments on the issues and during calls to be
scheduled at our mutual convenience. A good vehicle would be the Solid STMs
(Special Topic Meeting) held on Tuesdays 14:00-16:00, [4].
