Dear members of the Social Web Working Group, I'm relaying the announcement to the Working Group's primarily public mailing list, to notify the group of the Charter extension. Best regards, Xueyuan -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Social Web Working Group Charter Extended Date: Thu, 22 Jun 2017 00:15:29 +0800 From: Xueyuan Jia <xueyuan@w3.org> To: w3c-ac-members@w3.org CC: Chairs <chairs@w3.org> Dear Advisory Committee Representative, Chairs, The Social Web Working Group [1] Charter [2] is hereby extended until 31 December 2017. This extension was proposed to the AC on 18 May and received support from all respondents. The group has issued five Recommendations and requested additional time to incorporate implementation feedback from the Mastodon community before moving forward with its ActivityPub Candidate Recommendation. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact Sandro Hawke <sandro@w3.org>, Social Web WG Staff Contact and W3C decentralization specialist. He also suggests interested parties try Mastodon at https://w3c.social, which he operates on a volunteer/experimental basis. It is not supported by the W3C systems team. This extension follows section 5.2.5 of the W3C Process Document: https://www.w3.org/2017/Process-20170301/#charter-extension Thank you, For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director, Philippe Le Hégaret, Project Management Lead, Sandro Hawke and Amy Guy, Social Web WG Staff Contacts; Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications [1] https://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialwg [2] https://www.w3.org/2013/socialweb/social-wg-charter.html
