If you're Europe, next week's meeting (Nov 1) will seem to be one hour earlier than usual. Explanation below. -- Sandro -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Daylight Saving Time (DST) change --second half of 2016 Resent-Date: Mon, 24 Oct 2016 07:09:20 +0000 Resent-From: chairs@w3.org Date: Mon, 24 Oct 2016 15:09:57 +0800 From: Xueyuan Jia <xueyuan@w3.org> To: chairs@w3.org Dear Chairs, Please be reminded about the upcoming Daylight Saving Time change. Most European clocks shift back 1 hr on Sunday 30 October 2016. Most of the US clocks shift back 1 hr a week later, Sunday 6 November 2016. China and Japan do not observe DST. http://www.timeanddate.com/time/dst/2016b.html Between October 30 and November 6, the time difference between US and Europe will be 1 hour less than it currently is. This means that for that week the teleconferences that are scheduled according to the US clock will start *one hour earlier* in local time for most Europeans. For WebEx teleconferences that were scheduled according to a timezone other than US or Europe, please confirm the time arrangements with your meeting host. Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications
