Porting Web based Social Networks to Mobile Device Stand Alone App

Hello all Barcelona W3C participants!

I am currently working on an European Project developing a stand-alone application(J2ME) for mobile devices. This application is pretended to port a Web based Community into a Mobile context. This should let users to access to all services that they have in the Web Community through their phones, for example, manage their profile, share pictures with the community, chat with their contacts, and so on. It is something like Facebook did in order to provide its services in the mobile phones environment.

I'd like to have some guidance in this matter, so that's the reason why I'm asking for your expert advice in case you know where could I find info, papers or open source stuff about turn Social Networks into Mobile phones.

Thanks in advanced to all!
