Hello All, Using an off the shelf iPhone we have demonstrated how with foaf +ssl [1] one can have 1 click authentication. After clicking a plain login link on a web site the user will get something like the following screen (what he gets depends on the certificates installed of course)
This then will authenticate him, be he a first time visitor to the site or not. With the WebId contained in the X509 certificate, the web site can then personalize it so far as to give something as advanced as:
For more pictures on how this works on the iPhone see: http://blogs.sun.com/bblfish/entry/one_click_global_sign_on For how to get the certificate on the iPhone see: http://blogs.sun.com/bblfish/entry/howto_get_a_foaf_ssl I would love to have feedback on how this works on other cell phones. If people could try it out that would be great, if on success they could blog about it as I did above, that would be fantastic !
