Re: [Conformance] **updated doc** Agenda for Thursday 10 March

Hi, Shadi:

I'm liking the change to conformance and compliance. Two brief
suggestions ...

1.	In Situation 1 Example 1.1 current explanation reads:

"...producing the text alternatives for the scripts on the
scrolls, which requires calligraphy specialists" significantly
understates the technical challenge, and overstates the number of
potential users of those extended alternative texts. The U.S.
White House has a staff of caligraphers, but I doubt any of them
could help produce the text alternatives contemplated by this
       example.

Suggest: "producing the text alternatives for the scripts on the
scrolls, which requires ancient language specialists and presumes
unicode support for the glyphs used by the ancient writers."

Rationale: We need to disabuse any assumption that the
alternative text will be presented in some modern language like
       English.

2.)	In Situation 11 we need an example where the small
business and the authoring environment ignored accessibility and
then were later challenged to remediate. Obviously, standards
won't help, but guidance should cover this common scenario, and
policy needs to do a better job of supporting reasonable
timeframes, etc., for migration to an accessible version.

       Best,

       Janina
