+1. My announcement was that Amazon’s funding of Janina was coming to an unfortunate close; nothing more or less than that. Thanks, Peter -- Peter Korn (he/him/his) | Director, Accessibility | Amazon Lab126 pkorn@amazon.com From: Jeanne Spellman <jspellman@spellmanconsulting.com> Date: Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:39 AM To: "public-silver@w3.org" <public-silver@w3.org> Subject: RE: [EXTERNAL] [Conformance] Agenda for Thursday 4 November Resent-From: <public-silver@w3.org> Resent-Date: Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:37 AM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you can confirm the sender and know the content is safe. Correction: Janina is not stepping down from the Conformance Options subgroup. Shadi is not taking over chairing the subgroup. I'm sorry if it sounded that way. Janina is no longer working for Amazon, Shadi has been hired by Amazon. Leadership in a W3C group is by individual, not company. They are appointed by the higher level leadership, for example, the AGWG chairs appoint task force facilitators. Task force facilitators appoint the subgroup leads/chairs. We hope that Janina will soon be able to find another company that will be able to sponsor her work on WCAG3. jeanne On 11/4/2021 1:04 PM, Wilco Fiers wrote: Hey folks, Here are the minutes of today's Silver-conf meeting: https://www.w3.org/2021/11/04-silver-conf-minutes.html In summary, Peter announced that Janina will be stepping down, and that Shadi will be taking over as chairing of the subgroup. Then the group discussed the relation between WCAG and policy, and we took a first look at a glossary that Janina created: https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/task-forces/silver/wiki/Conformance_Glossary_Candidates Kind regards, On Wed, Nov 3, 2021 at 9:20 PM Sajka, Janina [C] <sajkaj@amazon.com<mailto:sajkaj@amazon.com>> wrote: Colleagues: The Silver Conformance Options Subgroup will meet again this Thursday 4 November at 12:00 PM (Noon) Boston Time (1600 UTC).
