I don't think we could replace IRC scribing with captions across W3C, as 
groups use different meeting tools. But if this group wants to 
experiment with that, we can. I'd want to be sure we know how to keep 
the captions as minutes, and find a way to make it easy. We should keep 
in mind that participant-generated captions are not likely to be 
word-for-word nor real-time, but just summaries as our minutes are. I 
doubt that would meet accessibility needs. But if the group finds it 
more useful than IRC scribing, we could explore it. Michael
