The subgroups checked in on their progress. We spent time discussing:
* The XR (immersive technology, virtual reality, augmented reality)
group asked for additional expertise on the unique user needs of
people with various types of hearing disabilities - hearing loss,
deaf, and Deaf. We received a number of references to people with
expertise in the field. We would like to work with other W3C
Community Groups in this area.
* The Conformance testing group checked in with a new variation on the
architecture of Guidelines making them less of a derivative of WCAG2
and more closely oriented to user needs. This is not a formal
proposal yet as there are a lot of details to be worked out and
testing to be done, but it is an promising step forward.
