Minutes of the Silver meeting of 14 July 2020

== Summary ==

  * The XR subgroup reported the work they have done identifying
    functional outcomes for XR as part of a captioning guideline. We
    will schedule discussion of the editorial aspects of a functional
    outcome template at the Friday 17 July Silver meeting.  John Foliot
    asked to go on record that he thought the XR work was out of scope. 
    However, the XR work is part of the Essentials for Publishing
    approved by AGWG.   It is a proof of concept for including emerging
    technology and will be tightly scoped.
  * Functional Needs subgroup will now be meeting weekly.
  * Maturity Model subgroup will meet next week and work on goals.
  * Rachael presented a more developed version of the Adjectival Rating
    <https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1IceTYOyGitApczya4vat4gPk9_I-7hIwpqTtXGusEZk/>
    for conformance scoring based on the feedback from the prior
    meeting.  There was detailed discussion of her slides.  She
    presented a spreadsheet where she presented how the scoring would
    work based on a real website tested against the existing WCAG2
    success criteria, so the group would see the validity of the scoring
    algorithms.  She will be sending copies of the spreadsheet to the
    Silver list so that others can test it.
