Challenges document now on github

Colleagues:

Over the past few days with Michael Cooper's help we've moved the document "Challenges with Conformance for Large, Complex, and / or Dynamic Websites" to github. This move to github is preparation for starting the process to eventually publish this document as a W3C Note. We hope the first formal step, a First Public Working Draft (FPWD) publication can be organized by early December.

We're aware there's much more to do in this document, and that's the reason for asking the wider community to read and provide input. That's a traditional use of FPWD at W3C and we very much hope to get lots of useful feedback from an FPWD and subsequent draft publications.

So, the copy at Google Docs is now marked "deprecated." Please do not edit there! Instead, please provide any comments, additions, or suggested edits via any standard github mechanism or via email.

Here are the key web links relevant to this document on github:

  * The W3C Editor's Draft is located here:

https://w3c.github.io/wcag/conformance-challenges/

  * IMPORTANT: The Working Draft has the latest additions and edits. This is the document to check before forwarding additional text or edits. The Working Draft is here:

https://raw.githack.com/w3c/wcag/conformance-challenges-working-draft/conformance-challenges/

  * All comments which were previously in the margin of the Google Doc are now logged as github issues. They can all be found here:

https://github.com/w3c/wcag/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3A%22Challenges+with+Conformance%22

At the moment there are 14 open comments which where copied over from the Google Doc. Many of them make similar points; and it will be my task today to combine the similar comments together so that we can better focus our discussion about them. I will however be careful to cross-link so that there will always be a back trace available.

Thanking everyone who has contributed, and inviting everyone's participation moving forward,

Janina
