WCAG > Silver migration

As we finished the call I had a final though (but no time to say it):

In WCAG the unit of conformance is the page, and you are testing the content.

In Silver the unit is the task, and you are testing outcomes (I think?).

That will make writing the guidelines & methods quite different, I’m not convinced a straight port would work. Jamming old content into a new structure might make it harder to maintain longer term.

If the old SCs / techniques come across at a lower level that might work, but the guidelines need to fit the new structure and conformance model…
