Hi everyone, Carine has just pointed out descriptions of the editor role at W3C: The Editors' role is described in the W3C Guidebook, https://w3c.github.io/guide/editor/role.html Most important: - Must maintain the draft on behalf of the Group, since the intellectual responsibility for the specification should remain with the Group - Need to be willing to write into the draft whatever the group decides, even if they personally would prefer something else. For those hesitant to volunteer because they are unsure about editing skills, there are other valuable resources here: https://w3c.github.io/guide/editor/ The most needed skill to be a good editor is to have some time available to actually do the editing work regularly! Cheers, Nick, Eliana & Carine
