Dear All,

Happy New Year and apologies for cross-posting!

Semantics-enabled Biomedical Literature Analytics (SeBiLAn2021)

Joint with The Web Conference 2021 (the International World Wide Web
Conference 2021)

Ljubljana, Slovenia, 19-23 April 2021

(or online, depending on the situation with the covid pandemic)

The main objective of this workshop is to bring together researchers from
Web search, semantic Web, and biomedical communities, to present and
discuss the latest methods and results in biomedical information and
knowledge representation, integration, and retrieval. Given the fact that
searching and retrieving all studies that address a research question is
one of the initial and main important tasks in devising a systematic
review, we also aim at investigating the application of semantics and Web
search in creating biomedical systematic literature review. The
distinguishing feature of this workshop is its focus on leveraging semantic
techniques for information retrieval from biomedical literature. This
further means that it puts rigorous attention on semantic-based techniques
that allow for the creation, analysis, and integration of biomedical
knowledge bases, with the ultimate objective of employing such knowledge
bases to improve search performance over biomedical literature.

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another
journal or conference.

All workshop papers should be no more than 10 pages in length. Papers must
be submitted in PDF according to the ACM format published in the ACM
guidelines, selecting the generic “sigconf” sample. The PDF files must have
all non-standard fonts embedded. Workshop papers need to be self-contained
and in English.

Papers should be submitted via EasyChair, at the following link:
