Dear colleagues, Happy New Year! I'm writing to you today to obtain feedback on the HCLS Interest Group Note on Dataset Descriptions (http://www.w3.org/TR/hcls-dataset/), published last year on May 14, 2015. In particular, we would like to encourage members to implement the standard and report on their experience. Implementation experience is required to show that a specification is sufficiently clear, complete, and relevant to needs, to ensure that independent interoperable implementations of each feature of the specification will be realized. While no exhaustive list of requirements is provided here, we are looking to assess the specification in terms of, but not limited to: - is each feature of the current specification implemented, and how is this demonstrated? - are there independent interoperable implementations of the current specification? - are there implementations created by people other than the authors of the specification? - are implementations publicly deployed? - is there implementation experience at all levels of the specification's ecosystem (authoring, consuming, publishing…)? - are there reports of difficulties or problems with implementation? - are there features or guidance that are missing from the implementation? Please use the GitHub wiki to add your implementation https://github.com/W3C-HCLSIG/HCLSDatasetDescriptions/wiki/Implementations If you wish to submit feedback regarding the specification in a manner that is tracked by the Interest Group, please submit them via using our GitHub issues https://github.com/w3c-hclsig/hclsdatasetdescription/issues. We are planning to discuss the implementation feedback at 8am Pacific on February 17, 2016. We welcome your participation - please mark your calendars accordingly! Cheers, m.
