Follow-up: FDA seeks input on Study Data Exchange Standards

Dear all,
in August last year I did send an email to this list: "FDA: seeks input on
Study Data Exchange Standards"
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-semweb-lifesci/2012Aug/thread.htmlIt
was very nice to see all the responses to my question: "Is this an
opportunity for a semantic web based proposal? "

I just wanted to follow-up that nice thread and point you to a recent post
on semanticweb.com: "Clinical Studies And The Road To Linked Data"
http://semanticweb.com/clinical-studies-and-the-road-to-linked-data_b35252The
first part is an interview with me about the CDISC2RDF project (
http://cdisc2rdf.com/) that a few of us from AstraZeneca, Roche, HCLS,
TopQuadrant and VU Amsterdam work together on to show the value of OWL/RDF
versions of clinical data standards.

The second part is an update from Charlie on the recent interest at the FDA
in semantic web. For links to the call from the FDA, the position paper and
the presentation that Charlie did at the FDA meeting in November last year,
see
http://www.w3.org/wiki/HCLS/ClinicalObservationsInteroperability/CDISC#Presentations_to_US_FDA

It's also interesting to see that in a poll in the LinkedIn group for PhuSE
(Pharmaceutical Users Software Exchange) 41% have voted for RDF on the
question "FDA recently asked about what format should be used for data
exchange. Which do you think should be the winner?"
