Hi Michael, Sorry - no slides. Laleh (DERI) showed us "live" how she loaded data from a spreadsheet into Google Refine, filtered for Entrez genes, human proteins and genes, then exported to RDF using the Richard Cyganiak plugin, then queried the data with SPARQL. That reminded me of some explorative work reconciliating Google Refine entries with NCBO ontologies that Fumi and I did at last year's Biohackathon, with help from Trish. You can see what I shared about that in the minutes: http://www.w3.org/2012/09/06-hcls-minutes.html Obliquely related is an idea that I recently had for IFTTT: http://radar.oreilly.com/2012/09/true-data-liberation.html where you could store things to a triple store using SPARQL Update Language (instead of to a Google Doc Spreadsheet, for example). Seems like it could be fun.. -Scott -- M.
