The International Conference on Biomedical Ontology (ICBO) steering committee invites tenders to host ICBO 2013. Individuals and organizations can apply by sending a proposal[1] to the ICBO Steering Committee (icbo-steering@googlegroups.com) by June 8 2012. (an email indicating a bid will arrive would be helpful.) The successful bidder will be notified by June 15th. The ICBO steering committee will announce the selected individual/organization during the ICBO 2012 conference. Important dates June 8th : Proposals due June 15th Notification of results July 25th: ICBO 2013 location announced publically The ICBO constitution for the formation and longevity of the steering committee and the ICBO conference process is, as yet, nascent. Initial documentation is available at http://www.icbo-conference.org/icbo [1] Proposals need only be short, one side of A4 or US letter, 11 point Times etc. with sensible margins. The proposal should contain: * The name and institution of the local ICBO organiser ; * That the host has a venue for up to 200 participants; * The range of dates for the conference; * A brief outline of how the conference wil be run to attract a broad range of the biomedical ontology community; * That the hosts will use the ICBO steering committee to help the success of the conference.
