Dear Friends@HCLS, Working with Grass Roots Science (http://grass-roots-science.info/), we have created a tool for diabetics to prevent wound problems, and to help them cope if problems do happen. It requires only a very basic phone, no "internet literacy," and no "reading/writing" literacy to use. We have come as far as late nights, programming skills and cool informatics could take us. We're in the *Semi-Finals* at the Data Design Diabetes Challenge by Sanofi-Aventis. Now we need *votes* to continue our work and deploy this tool in resource constrained settings. Can you help? www.datadesigndiabetes.com/vote/ , bottom right, "HopeUnwounded". Voting is open till Sept 22nd. You can vote once everyday. Please tell your friends who may care about such applications of biomedical informatics. If each of you can target just 5 people who might actually read this message and vote, it will get us a shot at continuing our work. Best regards, Nigam.
