Scott Marshall <mscottmarshall@gmail.com> Date: Tue, May 31, 2011 at 12:21 AM Subject: LODD telcon on Wed at 11AM ET / 5PM CET To: HCLS <public-semweb-lifesci@w3.org> At the LODD telcon this coming Wed, Katy Wolstencroft will present Rightfield http://www.sysmo-db.org/rightfield . The use of tools like Rightfield encourages early semantic commitment / annotation, i.e. disambiguation at point of data entry. With Rightfield, spreadsheet templates can be created, which will more naturally guide people to use unambiguous vocabulary / ontology terms while collecting data. Katy's presentation will be followed by a discussion of the W3C RDF practices note. http://www.w3.org/wiki/HCLSIG/LODD/Meetings/2011-06-01_Conference_Call Cheers, Scott -- M.
