After a doodle poll, LODD members opted to meet this Thu Apr 7 at 10AM EDT / 4PM CET to talk about a w3c note on how to create and publish linked life data. http://www.w3.org/wiki/HCLSIG/LODD/Meetings/2011-04-07_Conference_Call Janos Halagos has also offered to tell us about his recent foray into semantic disclosure of data at http://thebiogrid.org. "For a small bioinformatics project I downloaded the database and loaded it into MySQL. Further search I found that this dataset is part of the pathwaycommons site and is available as a download. I will evaluate the internal structure of the pathwaycommons owl file in BioPax ontology and see how complete it is compared to the raw dump of the biogrid database. It might be an interesting project to evaluate how a bench biologists might use such a database to find interactions in target organisms." All are welcome. This could very well be interesting to BioRDF members as well. Because the timeslot is directly before the HCLS monthly cross-task force update, it is unlikely that we can use the #hcls 4257 code/irc channel. Eric - can you please request the reservation for 10AM from Zakim and let us know what the code/channel is? Cheers, Scott -- M.
