The CPR ontology has been updated significantly. Several iterations
were performed with the following goals in mind:
- Normalization of the ontology (single inheritance and sibling disjointedness)
- Alignment with OBI/BFO/Relation ontology
- Expressive axiomatization of the 'core' medical record terms:
findings, diagnoses, signs, symptoms, and 'problems'
- Integration of the Ontology of Biomedical Reality
I also created an page summarizing the goals and methods followed as
well as some concept diagrams of the core classes (using CmapTools for
this purpose). The overview is located here:
http://purl.org/cpr/overview
And the new OWL ontology (version 0.75) is located from the following
PURL address:
http://purl.org/cpr/owl
In addition, it has been double checked for well-formedness (via the
online OWL validation) and tested in the following OWL editors: SWOOP,
Protege, CmapTools
The page which documents mappings (http://purl.org/cpr/mapping) to
Wordnet, Cyc, GALEN, LOA, OBI, and DOLCE is now outdated and will be
modified to reflect this version shortly. In addition, I will be
pushing this new version to the NCBO BioPortal as well.
