The Drug Safety and Efficacy task force that was formed in June, has had its first conf call to discuss first steps. The minutes for this DSE TF call are public: http://www.w3.org/2006/09/15-hcls-minutes.html This Task Force will be focusing on how best to utilize semantic web standards around information for clinical trials and issues regarding Translational Medicine, with attention to other standards activities such as CDISC's SDTM, HL7-RCRIM, and NCI's Janus data system. The group is open to all W3C members and HCLS invited experts, and those interested are encouraged to sign up through the DSE wiki site: http://esw.w3.org/topic/HCLSIG/Drug_Safety_and_Efficacy The DSE TF activities will include scenario development and use case demonstrations wrt clinical trials. These activities will not take place over the public semweb-lifesci mailing list due to the membership requirement. However, public reports created by DSE TF will be communicated using the public list, and documents will be posted on the public wiki site. We will be meeting at the F2F in Amsterdam to discuss the proposed activities-- please join us if you are interested!
