This issue was raised a few weeks ago on our TC, so I wanted to let everyone know that there now appears to be resolution on it. cheers, Eric -------- Original Message -------- Subject: new release of the OWL 1.1 specification Resent-Date: Wed, 29 Nov 2006 12:32:35 +0000 Resent-From: public-owl-dev@w3.org Date: Wed, 29 Nov 2006 12:28:37 +0000 From: Bernardo Cuenca Grau <bcg@cs.man.ac.uk> To: public-owl-dev@w3.org Hi all, We have just released a new version of the following documents in the OWL 1.1 specification: - Mapping to RDF graphs - Structural Specification - Semantics - XML syntax The most important changes concern the Mapping to RDF graphs. This document now specifies a transformation from OWL 1.1 functional-style syntax to RDF which comprises the full language (including punning and annotations on axioms). This document also specifies a transformation from RDF to OWL 1.1 functional-style syntax and determines the conditions under which an RDF document is valid OWL 1.1 The changes in the structural specification document are minor: - owl:imports is no longer considered as an ontology annotation, but as a separate construct - inverses of object properties are now also available as object property axioms (as in OWL DL). This change is motivated by backwards compatibility with OWL DL. Note that inverses are also available as an object property expression. The remaining documents have been updated accordingly. Cheers Bernardo
