Hi All, My name is Susanna-Assunta Sansone and I am project coordinator at EBI. The EBI is not a W3C member, but I would be interested in following the HCLSIG activities via this open list; in particular the discussion on "Core vocabularies and ontologies to support cross-community data integration and collaborative efforts". I am a member of the Microarray Gene Expression Data Society (MGED) Board and moderate the RSBI working group (www.mged.org/Workgroups/rsbi), bringing together toxicogenomics, nutrigenomics and environmental genomics collaborators. These communities have joined forces to contribute towards the development of general standards in which to encode functional genomics data, namely FuGO (http://fugo.sourceforge.net) and FuGE (http://fuge.sourceforge.net). These are large, international collaborative efforts. RSBI is also working closely with the HUPO Proteomics Standards Initiative (PSI, http://psidev.sourceforge.net), the Metabolomics Society Standards Initiative (/www.metabolomicssociety.org/mstandards.html) and with ontology engineering experts via the Ontogenesis Network (http://www.ontonet.org).
