Hi Everyone, My name is Davide Zaccagnini, I represent Language and Computing NV at the W3C. I'm a physician by back-ground. I'm currently working on ontologies and description logic-based reasoning for medical knowledge discovery, medical data integration and information extraction. Before joining my company I was a research fellow at MIT where I studied computable clinical guidelines representations (GLIF) and ontology-based medical decision support. I'm very excited to start working with the HCLS interest group, as a doctor I think this might be a great chance to make a difference in the future biomedical research and patient care and I look forward to be there. Few lines from my bio: Dr. Zaccagnini holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Informatics from Harvard-MIT (Health Sciences and Technology Division), a residency in Vascular Surgery from University of Rome where he also took his medical degree He published internationally on various medical and medical informatics journals and has been grated with two national academic awards.
