Dear Life Sciences Colleague, On behalf of Eric Miller, Semantic Web Activity Lead, you are invited to attend a W3C Member networking meeting and discussion, hosted by Oracle, on the Semantic Web for Life Sciences [1] on Tuesday, 17 May, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston during the Bio-IT World conference. [2] This opportunity is only available to W3C Members and invited guests, and seating is limited to 35 people. The W3C "Birds of a Feather" (BOF) discussion will include demonstrations of Semantic Web [3] technologies applied to life sciences; identification of areas of standardization that may help the life sciences community; and future directions and engagement for W3C and its current and prospective Members. If you or another colleague within your organization would like to attend, please email your reservation to W3C at "register@w3.org" no later than 12pm ET on Tuesday, 17 May. We hope you'll enjoy this unique opportunity to network and learn more about the Semantic Web for Life Sciences and your potential involvement with the World Wide Web Consortium.
