FYI. ----- Forwarded by Sean Martin/Cambridge/IBM on 03/29/2005 10:21 AM ----- "Roderic D. M. It's still a bit rough, so isn't on the "official" Mozdev extension site yet. Instead, it is on my page http://darwin.zoology.gla.ac.uk/~rpage/lsid (it is version 0.2). Version 0.2 uses a server here at Glasgow to resolve the LSID, and displays the resulting metadata using a XSLT style sheet. Any LSIDs in the metadata become clickable using the "lsidres" protocol. I think this gives a nicer experience than simply bouncing you to the Biopathways web resolver. Some LSIDs that work well are: lsidres:urn:lsid:limnology.wisc.edu:category:chem lsidres:urn:lsid:ncbi.nlm.nih.gov.lsid.biopathways.org:pubmed:12441807 There are a few rough edges (the XSLT style sheet won't win any prizes for elegance), but I thought it might be of interest.
