It's Official! I wish to inform life science participants that RDF and OWL are now official language recommendations for the W3C: http://www.w3.org/2004/01/sws-pressrelease This means they are no longer experimental systems, but mature enough for vendors to begin developing on. This will soon translate into the increased availablity of Semantic Web technolgies for communities, such as life sciences, for use on projects. Note that BioPAX is mentioned on the OWL implementation page: http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/WebOnt/impls Eric Eric Neumann, Ph.D. Global Head of Knowledge Management Aventis - DI&A Tel: 908-231-3510 Fax: 908-231-3307 Eric.Neumann@Aventis.com
