Re: Call for Participation: Second Screen Working Group Charter approved; Join the Second Screen WG

Hi Second Screen WG participants,

Thank you all for your support. Without your long term commitment and contributions we wouldn’t be where we are today.

As said, all existing participants will stay on board without further action on your side (i.e. no need to re-join). That said, rechartering is of course a great opportunity to bring in new participants to the group.

If you are aware of people in this space who might be interested in joining this WG and have relevant expertise, please do not hesitate to let them know our door is open and there are a number of opportunities for new participants to make impactful contributions. For any questions from new folks, please connect with me, my co-chair Louay, and our W3C Staff contact Francois (both cc'd). Also our sister incubator Second Screen Community Group remains open inviting early stage innovations and welcomes new participants.

Continuing on this theme, please join me in welcoming Michiel De Backker (also cc’d) to this WG as an Invited Expert. As many of you know, Michiel is a recognised expert and open-source contributor in this space and will help advance Open Screen Protocol specification informed by his diverse implementation experience and deep understanding of the entire end-to-end technology stack.

Michiel, a warm welcome on behalf of the entire Working Group!

Thanks,

-Anssi (Second Screen WG co-chair)
