Hello Second Screen WG participants, The current charter of the Second Screen Working Group expires at the end of January. I'm sorry for the late notice, my bad, I had completely missed that deadline! Anyway, to continue our work, we need to prepare a new Working Group Charter and run the usual review and approval process. I will take care of most of that, and will also request a charter extension while the process runs so that work can continue uninterrupted. I need your inputs on changes that you might want to make (or not make) to the charter though. A draft charter is available in the following repository: https://github.com/w3c/secondscreen-charter Compared to the current charter: - I refreshed the boilerplate text as recommended by the charter template [1]. - I refreshed the list of deliverables [2]. Most notable change here is that I added a mention of the plan discussed during TPAC's F2F to split the Open Screen Protocol specification into two. There is also one pending issue from last review that suggests aligning success criteria and working mode with the Web Apps charter, see: https://github.com/w3c/secondscreen-charter/issues/37 We did not consider the change last time because the comment was raised late in the re-chartering process. Please weigh in. Are there other changes that you would like to suggest? I'll ask the chairs to turn this heads-up into a Call for Consensus once we've converged on possible changes. Thanks, and all the best for 2024! François. [1] https://github.com/w3c/secondscreen-charter/pull/38 [2] https://github.com/w3c/secondscreen-charter/pull/40
