Hi participants of the Second Screen Working Group, As we noted in the call for review of the Working Group recharter[1], the Patent Advisory Group (PAG), created in August 2021[2], is currently reviewing patent exclusions made under the W3C Patent Policy, and making good progress on its analysis to resolve the concerns and enable royalty-free implementation and use of the Open Screen Protocol. The PAG is chartered through 18 August 2022 and is looking to sharing recommendations with the Working Group by then. We don't discuss patent issues in the Working Group, but invite group participants to send representatives to the Second Screen PAG. Feel free to reach out to Wendy or me if you have any question.
