Thanks @tidoust it makes more sense to the steps by the user agent performing them. Regarding your notes: 1. It wouldn't make sense for the controlling user agent to initiate a presentation connection before the receiving user agent is ready to receive them - whether this can be done in parallel with navigation or afterwards, seems like an implementation detail. 2. The presentation identifier is required once there is a presentation connection in the receiving user agent, so it's not strictly required to be passed with the presentation URL. However, any logical scheme to match a connection with a presentation would use the presentation ID, so it does make sense to pass the ID as well.
