Making direct spec contributions

Hi All,

I wrote some practical advise on how to setup the environment for making direct spec contributions [1]. I also added some guidance on how to contribute via pull requests [2].

After you've done the initial setup, making direct contributions to the spec is a rather effortless process.

We continue to discuss and propose changes to the spec on this mailing list as usual. Pull requests provide an alternative that may expedite the landing of the proposed changes due to practical reasons.

I'm hoping these instructions will encourage even more people to do direct spec contributions. All contributions are welcome, either as pull request or on the mailing list.

Please let me know if you run into issues in setting up the environment, or anything else related. The setup instructions should work as is on Linux and OS X (make sure you have Xcode installed on OS X).

Thanks,

-Anssi (WG chair)
