RE: A Christmas Present

Hi all,

Thank you for this present! And best wishes for 2021.

We have a regular monthly call this week. Reading this thread, I notice that we don’t need consensus from the group to publish a first draft of a Note. But still, we could at least use this week’s meeting to present the draft and notify the group of its imminent publication.

Jo, Ed, do you want to present the Note to the group? It would be nice if you could take us through the main points.

Linda

Hi Ed,
Not sure if you're checking emails, but I'd defer to Ted's expertise on timings etc., and publish early in the new year if it results in more traffic.
Cheers,
Jo

Alright by me. I also see an open issue on references.

Perhaps best not to rush? If you're settled on the shortname and want
to go ahead with publication, I can scramble morning of the 22nd EDT.

It might get more attention if first published in the new year. I am
fine either way and defer to your preference.
