Sure, I agree. I only tried to move in that direction because I
interpreted some feedback as a desire to encode eras as time
intervals... but I might have misinterpreted.

In fact I'm rather confused by what the next steps could be? Will
there be some formal discussions, with a review of the proposal? How
do these things usually work?
