WebVMT Status Update

1. Progress Made

    i. Continued participation in weekly progress calls for OGC Testbed-16 FMV to Moving Features [1] task as an Observer. Started work on MPEG2 Transport Stream parser to export WebVMT Paths [2], which currently parses Program Association Table (PAT) & Program Map Table (PMT) and verifies checksums.
    ii. Presented brief summary of Testbed-16 FMV task to OGC Moving Features SWG meeting [3] on 19 June 2020.
    iii. Progressed discussion in WHATWG/HTML [4] on TextTrackCue.endTime = Infinity to represent an unbounded cue, which is an important use case for WebVMT.
    iv. Continued development of Android app in preparation for publishing on Google Play store.

2. Next Steps

     i. Parse MISB 0903 [5] VMTI metadata from MPEG2 Transport Stream to generate WebVMT Paths [2] for OGC T16-FMV [1] task.
     ii. Revise proposal [6] for TextTrackCue.endTime = Infinity.
     iii. Publish Android app on Google Play store.
     iv. Continue community outreach and identify more activities to promote progress towards the standardisation track.
