Proposal: Safely Sharing Geotagged Video On The Web - Help Wanted

I’m working on a proposal for ‘safely sharing geotagged video on the web’ to follow up on a topic from the 'video search with location' discussion [1] in Leuven last summer.

The aim is to examine vulnerabilities in sharing geotagged video online, demonstrate practical measures to monitor and mitigate privacy threats, quantify performance issues, formulate guidance on the ethical issues involved, and establish a free open source software (FOSS) tool to allow the online community to share data safely and help protect itself in future.

I plan to raise this in OGC Innovation Program [2] to help provide feedback to SDWIG on the open question of ethical geo best practice [3], and I'm looking for support from organisations with an interest in online video metadata use, e.g. from dashcams, drones, body-worn video, smartphones, etc.

I’d welcome suggestions for suitable organisations which may be willing to support this effort. Please email any contact details directly to me.

Many thanks for your help.
